Hi, I’m Farahnaz Faiz, a second-year Ph.D. student in Economics at Emory University. Originally from Afghanistan, I made my way to Atlanta by way of Athens, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Finance from The American College of Greece, and Paris, where I completed my master’s degree in Economics at Université Paris-Saclay.

My research interests lie in development economics and gender inequality. Outside of research, you’ll usually find me climbing, swimming, or crocheting.
